Year-end reporting annual requirement due March 14

February 13, 2025

By Friday, March 14, 2025, all California Medical Association (CMA) accredited providers must complete their 2024 annual reporting requirements in the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) Program and Activity Reporting System (PARS).

What do I have to report by March 14, 2025?
To fulfill annual reporting requirements, complete these five steps:

  1. Accept the terms for the annual agreement, located on the dashboard in PARS under "Provider Agreement." Each year, all accredited providers are asked to accept the annual agreement regarding data submission and compliance with CMA and ACCME policies and procedures.
  2. Enter ALL activities that started in 2024 and close all activities that ended in 2024.
  3. If you provide enduring material activities, update the total cumulative learner counts as of December 31, 2024. As a reminder, providers no longer need to enter enduring material activities for each year they are provided. Enduring materials should remain open in PARS until the end date, which may be up to three years from the start date.
  4. Complete and submit the Program Summary. The link to the program summary is located on the dashboard in PARS in the upper left corner.
  5. Review and update contact information. You can do this by clicking “Back to Accreditation Management” in the top right section of the PARS dashboard.

CMA offered a webinar about annual reporting to help clarify the reporting requirements, how to navigate PARS, and complete data entry before the March 14, 2025 deadline. If you missed the webinar, you can access the presentation slides here.

How do I complete my requirements?
ACCME has created a series of short how-to videos to aid you in completing your requirements once you have logged into PARS:

Start early! We encourage you to begin entering data in PARS as soon as possible and to enter activities throughout the year as they are implemented. You can enter basic information about an activity before it has taken place and complete the entry after the activity has occurred.

*Note: While ACCME requires year end reporting to be completed by March 31, 2025, CMA’s due date is March 14, 2025, to allow time for our audit.

How can I get help with PARS?
You can find several helpful ACCME resources, including an annual reporting checklist, an FAQ, how-to videos and templates on the ACCME’s annual reporting webpage. You can also find CMA tips and resources here to assist you in your use of PARS.

If you have specific questions about PARS or ACCME’s reporting requirements, please feel free to email us at cme@cmadocs.org.
