What You Need to Know: CMA is encouraging physicians to take AMA survey about competition and commercial payor practices.
The American Medical Association (AMA) is surveying physicians about competition and commercial payor practices to help inform its legislative and advocacy efforts. The data collected will help organized medicine gain better insight into the challenges physicians may face from outside entities such as insurers, benefit managers, hospitals or private equity groups. The California Medical Association encourages you to share your experiences, as it will inform resources and advocacy to promote an environment where physicians are better protected from third-party pressures and have choice in how they practice medicine.
The survey—the California Practice Landscape: Challenges and Needs in a Time of Practice Acquisition/Consolidation—should take about 10 minutes to complete (and you can restart where you left off if needed). Results to numerical questions will only be presented in aggregate, and open-ended comments might be highlighted but will not include any identifying information.
Questions about the survey can be directed to Molly Reese at AMA (molly.reese@ama-assn.org).
Take the survey.
