What You Need to Know: CMA resources can help you identify and stop payors from engaging in unfair payment practices.
For more than 20 years, California Medical Association (CMA)-sponsored laws – AB 1455 (2000) and SB 367 (2005) – have prohibited health plans and insurers from engaging in various unfair payment practices. The effectiveness of these laws depends on physicians and their staff being informed and aware of their rights and taking action to stop unfair payment practices when they arise.
CMA has published a new series of resources – the Know Your Rights series – that summarize vital protections under state and federal law that physicians should be aware of in their dealings with payors.

This webinar, presented by one of CMA's experienced practice management experts, will provide an overview of the important laws that protect physicians, how to identify and effectively stop unfair payment practices and how CMA can help. This webinar is free for members and their staff, and $99 for nonmembers.
