The California Medical Association (CMA) Physician Services Organization (PSO) has published two new trainings – Understanding the Encounter Data Pathway and Understanding Patient Registration and Insurance Eligibility – to support high-quality encounter data generation.
Navigating encounter data complexity is a major challenge for community health centers and independent practices across California. The trainings—available in the Integrated Healthcare Association (IHA) Encounter Data Resource Hub—will help staff understand how encounter data informs rate development, care coordination, and quality measurement, how eligibility impacts encounter and revenue data, and how to improve workflows at the front-end of the encounter data pathway.
About the IHA Encounter Data Resource Hub
The IHA’s Encounter Data Resource Hub was established to help physician practices, community health centers and other stakeholders improve encounter data quality. CMA PSO is proud to partner with IHA on a number of these encounter data resources.
