The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) is hosting a briefing on Tuesday, March 19, at 1 p.m. PDT (4 p.m. EST), regarding the recent cyberattack on Change Healthcare.
This cyberattack has had a profound impact on health care providers, prompting HHS to extend an invitation to the briefing to national medical specialty societies and state medical associations, including the California Medical Association and its members.
HHS Deputy Secretary Andrea Palm, along with leaders from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), will provide insights into HHS's response to the cyberattack. CMS will also offer an overview of how providers can apply for Medicare advance and accelerated payments.
