The California Medical Association (CMA) commends Governor Newsom for safeguarding critical health care investments that prioritize patient care, bolster the health care workforce and ensure meaningful access to quality health care for all Californians.
The Governor's proposed budget acknowledges that sustained investments in our health care infrastructure, particularly in the Medi-Cal program, are essential for establishing an equitable health care system and a healthier future for all Californians.
California's physicians applaud the Governor's work to bring health care coverage to every resident of the state and his commitment to ensuring that health care coverage is accompanied by meaningful access to care.
The lessons of the last four years have demonstrated the vital role of a resilient health care infrastructure, not only to meet the health needs of our communities, but also to fuel our economy and help our communities thrive.
At a time of competing priorities and tough choices, CMA thanks the Governor for prioritizing transformative investments in Medi-Cal that will improve the lives and well-being of all Californians.
