On June 24, 2022, the U.S. Supreme Court issued the Dobbs Decision. Overnight, Americans lost the protections on abortion care that Roe vs. Wade had afforded for almost 50 years. The California Medical Association’s partner podcast the Nocturnists has launched a new podcast series to document the personal and professional stories of abortion providers from Texas to Tennessee, Oklahoma to Ohio, and beyond.

Over the past year, the Nocturnists collected stories from clinicians in red, blue and purple states about the impact of the Dobbs ruling on clinical practice. These stories have been gathered into a 7-episode podcast series—The Nocturnists: Post-Roe America—that tells stories that have not otherwise been covered in mainstream media and provide a crucial addition to the conversation around reproductive rights.
