Have you been considering becoming a continuing medical education (CME) surveyor for the California Medical Association (CMA)? Becoming a surveyor is a great way to expand your knowledge of the accreditation requirements and collaborate with CME colleagues. CMA is hosting surveyor training on November 1, 2023. We invite all who are interested to indicate your intent through this link today.
Surveyors gain deeper understanding of accreditation rules, learn from colleagues and CMA, and work to improve the accreditation system. CMA provides ongoing training, resources and support; mentoring with experienced surveyors; and additional materials and courses from the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education Academy.
To nominate yourself, a colleague or a member of your CME committee, please indicate your interest through this form or email cme@cmadocs.org.
CME surveyors can be non-physician CME staff or physicians who serve as a link between CMA and its accredited providers during the interview process. The surveyor is an advocate for providers who will gather additional information and clarify evidence demonstrating compliance with the core criteria, standards and policies for accreditation.
If you have any questions about the process of becoming a CMA CME surveyor, please email cme@cmadocs.org.
