“The California Medical Association congratulates Diana Ramos, M.D., on her official confirmation as California Surgeon General. Since her appointment in August, Dr. Ramos has already been making great strides in the Office of the Surgeon General fighting for health equity and expanding health care access. With Dr. Ramos’ vast public health experience and expertise, we know the state will remain well-positioned to take on our pressing health care challenges and address longstanding disparities in health outcomes.”
