Continuing Medical Education (CME)
The California Medical Association (CMA) will be hosting an orientation training for new continuing medical education (CME) staff on November 16, 2022, from 2-4 p.m. This orientation will introduce the value of accreditation and give new CME professionals an overview of accreditation criteria, policies and the Standards for Integrity and Independence in Continuing Education. This webinar is full of resources on where to find answers about CME design and development, while staying compliant with accreditation requirements.
Agenda:
- Role of Accredited CME and its importance
- Review of Plan, Do, Study Act cycle
- Overview of the Core Accreditation requirements, policies and Standards of Integrity and Independence in CME.
- Toolkits, resources and links for further clarification on CME questions.
This course is for new CME staff and planners and will not discuss any of the specific accreditation criteria and standards in depth.
