CMA seeking physicians willing to speak about experiences with unconscious bias

August 23, 2022

On October 14, 2022, the Sutter Health Institute for Advancing Health Equity, the California Medical Association, the California Primary Care Association and Physicians for a Health California will be hosting a Health Equity Summit – focused on unconscious bias in health care. The goal of the summit is to bring together stakeholders from across sectors to create dialogue, derive recommendations for policy makers and other key stakeholders to drive the field forward, and understand identified, data-driven best practices to mitigate unconscious bias and set a standard to reduce unconscious bias within health care.

In preparation for this event, we are looking to speak with clinicians willing to share their experiences with unconscious bias.

Your responses will be used to develop a composite “clinician perspective and voice” that will be shared with our program attendees during and after the summit. This may consist of audio, video, photography and quotes. (Digital consent forms will be provided for review and signature.)

We understand this may be challenging to talk about, and thank you in advance for your willingness to share your personal experience.

If you are interested in participating, please fill out this form and we will reach out to you to schedule a 45-minute interview via Zoom.
