The Network of Ethnic Physician Organizations (NEPO) is hosting a panel discussion webinar with LGBTQ+ individuals and advocates to discuss the unique experiences of LGBTQ+ individuals as well as practical, actionable suggestions for how to improve communication with this population in a health care setting.
The free one-hour webinar—NEPO Special Topics: Building Meaningful Allyship with LGBTQ+ Populations in a Health Care Setting—will be held on February 22, 2022, from 12 – 1 p.m.
Presented by Physicians for a Healthy California (PHC), NEPO brings together ethnic physician organizations from across California to advocate on behalf of their patients and communities. NEPO’s goals are to improve access to care, end health disparities, support practice improvement and create a more diverse physician workforce. To support these goals, NEPO has committed to presenting topical information on issues concerning health equity, diversity, and inclusion.
In this first installment of the NEPO Special Topics webinar series, participants will hear from Wendy Anguiano, Program Manager at Equality California, who trains health care and homeless service organizations across California, and Celia Sandhya Daniels, Founder and CEO of Rebekon Consulting, who has more than 20 years of experience consulting and spearheading various global engagements in health care and life sciences for fortune 100 companies.
