Join us on November 9 for Virtual Grand Rounds—Spotlight on COVID-19 Vaccines

November 03, 2021

As we head into the winter, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) continues to meet to discuss some major questions and developments around the COVID-19 vaccines. Some of these discussions include the evaluation of booster shots from several manufacturers, and the examination of data on the pediatric vaccines for children under 12.

Join us on Tuesday, November 9, 2021, for the 17th installment of our monthly Virtual Grand Rounds—Spotlight on COVID-19 Vaccines—to learn from vaccine experts and policymakers about the data behind the decisionmaking.

At this webinar, we will also hear from Erica Pan, M.D., California’s State Epidemiologist, about the state of COVID-19 in California, efforts to keep the virus at bay, progress on vaccines and vaccination efforts, and an update on the status of California schools.

The 90-minute grand rounds webinars are free and open to all interested clinicians. Participants can receive 1.5 AMA PRA Category 1 CreditsTM. Clinicians likely to encounter COVID-19 in their practice settings (e.g., front line physicians, nurse practitioners or physician assistants) are encouraged to join the monthly case-based presentations, which will include expert panel discussions and audience participation.

If you are unable to attend the live webinar, they will be available for on-demand playback at covidroundsca.org.

This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the accreditation requirements and policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) through the joint providership of the California Medical Association and California Health and Human Services Agency.  CMA is accredited by ACCME to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

The California Medical Association designates this live activity for a maximum of 1.5 AMA PRA Category 1 CreditsTM. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
