Area(s) of Interest: Health Information Technology

The federal Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology (ONC) is hosting a series of webinars to discuss the information blocking requirements of the 21st Century Cures Act. The first webinar is a physician-focused presentation covering key aspects of the regulations focused on information blocking.

The one-hour webinar—What health care providers need to know about information sharing and the info blocking regulation!—will be September 14, 2021, from 10 am Pacific Time.

Participants will have the opportunity to ask questions and get answers from ONC’s experts.

Participants will hear answers to questions such as:

  • What is information blocking and why should I care?
  • Why is information sharing so important?
  • What information needs to be shared and with whom?
  • What are the allowable exceptions and when do they apply?

ONC experts will also explain how ONC supports secure, appropriate sharing of electronic health information and how information sharing leads to more affordable and equitable care and improved care quality.

Click here to register for the webinar. Even if you are unable to join the live presentation, register now and you will receive a link to access a recording of the webinar to view on-demand.
