CALPAC rings in 2021 membership year, thanks donors and encourages renewals

Area(s) of Interest: Advocacy

The California Medical Association (CMA) Political Action Committee (CALPAC) rang in the new 2021 membership year by hitting an all-time fundraising record of $197,343 at the virtual CMA House of Delegates. For attendees watching online, the ringing was literal, as the District I Delegation won for the second time CALPAC’s new and improved Victory Bell, a prize given to the delegation with the largest average donation and 100% delegation participation. But District I was not alone, with over 600 donors from across the state already having renewed their donations for 2021.

The CALPAC Board of Directors and staff would like to thank every donor who contributed since the 2021 CALPAC membership year started on October 1, including those members of the House of Delegates who pre-paid their renewals as early as August! Contributors at the Congressional Level and above receive recognition on CALPAC’s website at CALPAC.org. Every single dollar donated bolsters CMA’s political and advocacy power in the legislative year to come.

Members can check their CALPAC donor status at the bottom of CALPAC’s December Edition Newsletter and renew by visiting CALPAC.org/donate.
