Anthem Blue Cross recently began notifying physicians it will seek approval to participate as a Medi-Cal managed care plan in several additional Inland Empire and Central Valley counties beginning in 2024.  Physicians in the chosen counties report receiving a letter of intent from Blue Cross of California Partnership Plan seeking to secure their intent to participate in Anthem’s Medi-Cal Managed Care program. 

As part of the bidding process with the California Department of Health Care Services, Anthem Blue Cross must demonstrate that it has an adequate network of participating providers in each applicable county.
