CMA publishes new fact sheet on nurse practitioner scope of practice changes

April 10, 2020

California Medical Association (CMA) Physician Services has received numerous questions on implementing telehealth into physician practices in general, and specifically on the recently announced Amwell partnership.

While many of these questions were addressed in CMA’s March 30 webinar on Implementing Telehealth In Your Practice (which is now available for on demand viewing), CMA Physician Services has also updated its telehealth implementation webpage with additional guidance.

The updated webpage includes considerations your practice may want to keep in mind when implementing telehealth and selecting a platform. Additionally, the webpage offers more information on the Amwell partnership offerings and corresponding FAQs.

CMA has also updated its COVID-19 Telehealth Toolkit for Medical Practices, which contains additional details for physicians specific to providing telehealth services during the COVID-19 public health emergency.

We hope this additional information helps your practice with its transition to virtual care.

Physicians with additional questions can reach out physicianservices@cmadocs.org.
