CMA recently learned that Anthem Blue Cross will be changing the names of all of its exchange/mirror products for 2015. Effective January 1, 2015, the new product names include the plan name and the metal tier of the product purchased. Additionally, the plan will utilize the same product names for both its exchange and mirror products, a change from 2014.
CMA believes the changes will help practices to more easily identify exchange/mirror product patients and reduce confusion about the networks to which patients have access.
Anthem has confirmed that all of its exchange/mirror product enrollees will receive updated ID cards reflecting the new plan names in December.
