Health Care Reform Physician Leadership
The California Medical Association (CMA) is forming a technical advisory committee (TAC) on health care reform to develop policy to guide CMA through issues related to Congress’ proposal to repeal and replace the Affordable Care Act. While CMA has extensive policy on health care reform, there will be many new issues and questions that will arise during the debate.
CMA is seeking a diverse group of physicians to participate in the TAC from all modes of practice, geographic regions, specialties and perspectives. Physicians who accept Medicare, Medi-Cal and participate in Covered California are specifically encouraged to apply.
It is estimated that there will be four or five meetings of this TAC in 2017 – one in-person meeting and three or four teleconferences – between February and October.
